Great memories of Sharrock's shoe shop, as kids we used to get our shoes from there. In those days you could choose the footwear, take them home and pay weekly (or when your parents could afford ) until the items were paid for. No Visa cards in those days eh!!!!! Also in the back of the shop Mr Sharrock made clogs to order, he also did shoe repairs.When we used to take repairs to him he would allow us to watch him work on them, as a kid at that time the machinery in his shop was quite fascinating!

This was my grandads shop. Tom was my great grandad. i remember the shop when i was a girl, before it shut to make way for the dual carriage way.
