this is dr ashworth he has been our g.p for many years and is a really good docter i recognised him straight away
hes has been my g.p since he took over from g.p spencer many moon ago wouldnt swap him for the world
please give him my regards I haven't seen him for over 30 years and he was such a nice guy. I met him when he was a medical student at Wigan Infirmary.
was just looking through the pics an came across this 1. O.M.G, its Dr Ashworth from Ashton. He was my Dr in the 80-90's. I had to have a medical a few months back (2008) the Dr walked in, took 1 look at me and said, I know you, he turned look at my daughter (ANNEMARIE) and said I know you, i was at your birth, i brought you into the world. Bless him. anyway i passed my medical, we had a lovely chat, an he was on his way. wot a lovely man, an great Dr. I'm sure at some point in the future we will meet up again.
Dr.Mike Ashworth is my brother and it is lovely to read the comments from his patients past and present. He is a wonderful brother, son and uncle, but when we were little he would beat up my dollies and give me Chinese burns!
Dr Mike Ashworth has recently retired but had been mine and my family's GP for longer than I care to remember. He is kind, understanding and has the patience of a saint. He always had time to listen. He was like an old friend to me. There aren't enough good things I could say about him.
Just came across this when looking for something re Bryn surgery. Mike was my doctor in the 80's and 90's and looked after me when I was pregnant with my youngest son who is now 34. This photo is just how I remember him. What a wonderful doctor he was. Always had time to listen and really cared - a tonic just to visit him! Not enough doctors like this now - just meet a lot of locums that need to get you out in under 10 minutes. Wherever you are Mike I wish you the best and want you to know that you made such a difference to people's lives.
Dr Ashworth was our doctor for many years. He us an exceptional human being . When I was a new mum and forever at The doctors with my asthmatic baby he never once made me feel like i was wasting his time or over reacting. A genuinely lovely man.
