Photo taken in 1982 when my dad (Harold Green) from Belle Green Lane, Ince, retired from NCB Top Lock, Kirkless, New Springs.
My dad was a coal miner then he worked at Hawker Siddeley at Lostock where he was made redundant. He then went on to work at Heatstore on Manchester Road and finally retired from the NCB in 1982. Sadly dad passed away three years ago at the age of 85.

i remember harold thats me in the picture learnin the radial arm drill top man good teacher so many memories of kirkless best job i ever had
