Little Mon aka frank groves,he was our chargehand/asst eng for all the 13 yrs i was there.Totally pit brunt,always got the job done tho.Never knew him to have a day off either,its a pity there werent a few more like me and him.

nice to read your book fred,it brought back many memories,i liked the picture of l4os breakthrough as i was overman on that face when we had the fire,it took mounths to put out but we made plenty overtime on it,
