good pic old glass works, i can see dower house farm on the right of pic
Looking at the pictures you have taken John - it seems like you knew where all the right hiding places were .. great view from up there - however I was noty too good on heights as I found out once sitting in the crane with Sammy Brockbank.
Me and Chris Rowley used to go up on the roof sometimes during our break. You could get out through the top of the lift shaft. And that is Dower House farm on the right, I remember making enquiries in 1989 to buy it as it had been derelict for a time, and I could have bought it for £45,000. I couldn't afford that size of a mortgage then (If only I'd tried LOL) It wasn't long after that vandals started the fire that destroyed most of it. Shame.
This is crazy looking at this photo as we now live on this site as of George Wimpy built here in 2004 - 2005.
Our newly built house is haunted, can anybody relate to this?
