Thanks for putting the picture on Fred! It was good to remember our times gone by, please keep up the good work! Appreciated and hope you are keeping well! Eric Greenhalgh
Eric, I recognised you as soon as I saw the picture. We were at 'Old Boston' and I still have a copy of the newspaper photograph of our 'Busman's Holiday to Spain.
First time I've been on the site it's good to see all the old mates. I thought it was Eric is the other bloke with beard Phil steel?? I had some great times at the pit but better times in South Africa where I finished up with Gullick mining the bloke who came to interview me was a wiganer. We all worked and played hard I thank god for the skills I took to SA as I used them to get to the top at Gullick and start my own business Joules Technology Pty Ltd. Supplying hydropower equipment in gold and platinum mines far cleaner but deep and dangerous 2000m plus.
I now consult for mining companies globally on cooling ( we didn't need this at parkside he he it was bloody freezing)
Flippin' eck, Billy Gore. Eeeh Billy, you've brought back some beltin' memories lad! First of all, yes it's Phil Steele in the picture along with Geoff Iball, don't know if you remember Geoff though (now sadly passed away). We had some fun times at St Helens Tech Billy, your impersonation of Ronnie Mather is etched on my mind forever. Glad to see you've done well for yourself Billy, you're a top man and surely deserved it!Take care mate and all the very best! Eric
