I worked as a Designer from roughly 1969 for about 18 months at Cotton Goods Ltd. Unfortunately I don't remember any names of the girls that worked there during my time. Maybe someone can jog my memory..... but I have happy memories and I do remember Mr Ellis being a lovely man. He brought a small TV into his office and we watched some of the moon landing footage. The Americans had landed on the moon at about 2.00am and I watched it with my dad at home, then was in work the next day watching a bit more on Mr Ellis's TV.
Mr Ellis booked a showroom in the Midland hotel showing potential buyers the new products that I had designed. I just remember having toothache that day!!
