Wigan Album

After looking at a copy of my Grandparent's (Mary Grady and Richard Nicholson) wedding certificate dated in the year 1907 decided to search on the internet for the town in which they were married and came across John's photo. Wondering if Teresa Atherton, the signature of one of the witnesses on the marriage certificate was related to John. As I am a South Australian I really didn't know where Wigan was in UK, then found John's retirement photo along with the others on this site. Keep up the good work.

Have had a word with John he does not know if there is any relationship as you suggested.

At least I have found a lot of information on the town of Wigan, it's people, along with it's past history and now have an idea where my Grandparents spent their very early married life before moving to Newcastle, Australia in 1911.I will keep looking at your site from time to time to keep updated with what is happening in your part of the world.
