I wonder if any one of these workers knew the night watchman at Trencherfield, Bob Marsh. Bob had been badly wounded when he was a machine gunner in the first world war, he lost an arm and one eye but spent I believe the rest of his working life at Trencherfield - a lovely man.

VB..you're right,she does look very much like Audrey Hepburn..so many girls nowadays try their best to look like her..but she's done it without even trying..
Spud,thank you for those names..I thought it was Sheila Lundy and of course that is Maureen Dowd..I was a bit puzzled by her because their is a distinct likeness between her and a young woman that works in England's Chemist..next time I go in I'm going to ask if she is any relation ..she is so much like her..but of course the age difference is there.

I worked at Trench in 1965 - in the Card-room. It was a dark and dingy place as I recall, and I left after just a few months.

Yes John you were right, there is a likeness , she’s my mum ,Maureen Downing , I’m her eldest daughter , I’ve retired from England’s chemist , three years ago
