Marus Bridge, Approx 1977, When the depot was
quite new. Depot manager Jack McLoughlin (RIP)
is driving the fork lift truck. The same location is now the vehicle entrance to Sainsburys.
I like the photo Ray though my involvement with Baillie's was almost behind me by the time this was taken. I remember the Atki MK2 180 coming into play and the night trunkers particularly liking that extra bit of power and the updated cab. Do you remember that first Volvo F86 arriving and no one could figure out how to leave it with parking lights on !!!. I remember Jack Mcloughlin at the Chapel Lane site, easy man to get on with I thought. Once again Ray - thanks for the memories. ( we finally worked out :- pull the key out with the light in the "on" position, simple !)
Hi JJP, This picture is from Tim Walker from Horndean
in Hampshire. He sent me via TrucknetUK, many more pictures,
mainly taken at Portsmouth and Horndean. Eddie Heaton also
submitted pictures for my "Robert Baillie" Thread on TrucknetUK. Regards, Ray.
