Lovely, Gladys! I love anything to do with old shops, adverts etc. Just think, but for Wigan World most of us would never have had the opportunity to see this. Oh to be able to travel back in time and walk in there! Thanks for posting.

Ad. at top (right) is for Lux Toilet Soap, the product had been given the O.K. by Claudette Colbert.
Ad. at top (centre) is for the same product - but with an image of Jessie Matthews.
In the 1930s, Lux Toilet Soap issued many collectors' cards depicting 'Famous Film Stars' which, as far as I know, went into a sixth series.
