hi Evelyn I was a very lucky person and I still am, surrounded by lots of love and good friends yes you Evelyn one of the best .The cake was decorated by Dad the bottom tier Bill brother the middle tier Alan the top tier .What would have it been like if I had seven brothers.

Many thanks Gladys for the lovely comment.I love to keep in touch with friends old and new. It hardly seems possible that we first met 51 years ago.

Oh dear, what can the matter be, my last post should read 61 years since we met at HAGS. Whatever-- it is like a breath of fresh air when we speak on the telephone Gladys, thank you for keeping us young !!

Yes, I've seen tour comment Evelyn, thanks. We've been away at one of our "forties" events over the weekend, so only just seen it. Gladys, was this the New Street shop or the Warrington Road one up near the traffic lights just before you turn onto Lily Lane?

Yes that is the one which I worked in till I had my children .On the left hand side towards Lily lane was Bell's Radio .On the right hand side was Naylors Byke shop (harrison)also sold the small dinky toys .
