I love the story about the movement - in London - by "posh" women to stop these lasses working, it was considered their clothing was unsuitable. With the help of the local M.P. a delegation went to London, well dressed, and gave a petition to Parliament & the movement was stopped.My gran was one - a pit brow lassie
