Not a lot of info..BJ. I've no idea what make of truck it is? it has a Wigan reg though.
It's a Bedford OY - the military version of the O series of buses and lorries. The standard version had a rounded bonnet and radiator, with horizontal chrome bars. This is probably an ex-RAF tractor unit - they were used with a long semi-trailer to bring in damaged aircraft, and were nicknamed 'Queen Marys'. The nearside lamp is still shrouded to comply with wartime blackout regs. The offside lamp is blanked out, and often was painted with a unit or squadron number.
