The lad on the right is Dave Gee, he worked at Northern Counties as well, his dad was a foreman there.
So few pictues of the Valve on WW, which is surprising seein' that it employed over 900 workers in its hey day I was there 71 to 81 and have no pics, just the memories!

xxstuartxx It's 13 years since I finished at the valve,not seen him since.So no sorry I don't know what he's up to now.

Alright jimmy, Where you working these days. Bernard Birch was a cracking bloke, Used to smoke those brown roll ups, that i used to cadge of him.

i remember your dad being a lovely bloke
never forget the lads of 69 when we where apprentices we used to have some great laughs and some great works trips to still in touch with a few of them. great days
Yes he used to smoke brown roll ups !! Liquorice I think? Some lovely comments on here about him. He was lovely. Used to keep a straight face when I told him a joke, then found out he was telling them a work! :o)

what a great time in training school.started summer of 69.i gave Bryan Adams idea for song.just one big laugh.with jenny. army,both ollertons.borky.ron oldham,al myers and all.dave gee chanting united.crazy antics by many.race every day to canteen at 1208.had a new year party for some of the lads at our house.all drunk but no trouble.plenty spew in garden.god bless you all and enjoy your lives.Aussie
