333 must have been coming up from the Ribble garage on Wallgate to go on stand at the Market square and then to Dangerous Corner via martland mill, and shevington

The 333 buses used to go to Wrightington Hospital via Mill Lane ( under the railway bridge ) and the 343 used to go to Wrightington Hospital via Skull House Lane . On Saturday's the buses on this route used to run ever 15 minutes ! Hardly any run on these routes now !

The Ribble Leyland National bus is 409 PTF755L, initially allocated at Blackpool before it moved to Wigan. It became a North Western in 1986, number 212, and moved to the Skelmersdale depot. The Victoria hotel is now McColls shop.
