approaches Crow Nest Sidings Signal Box in 1965
The train has just passed under the bridge that carries Jacks Lane over the railway.
Hi Harry, yet another good shot. Can you elaborate on the signalling shown above the bridge? I always understood that the Fast lines were where the train is with the slow lines to the left of the train. If that is right, is the train being signalled to cross over towards the Slow lines? Cheers, Dave
Hi Dave, the points in the foreground are number 10 points, operated by Crow Nest Sidings box & are from the down main to the down loop.
both home signals behind the train are operated by crow nest sidings box (signals 2 & 3 from L to R)the distants are worked by crow nest jct box.
The inner distant for Crow Nest Jct (signal 80)shows that the train will go main line from crow nest sdgs then be routed on to the down slow line at crow nest jct.
Hope this helps.
