A double deck GM bus turns round at leyland park terminus circa 1989,(i think that it was numbered the 619 service)

Think 619 was Windy Harbour?

Might have even been 609,(i think that the NORTH WESTERN bus company took the service over soon after this photo was taken).
North western used little red minibuses on this route that some people nicknamed "the postman pat vans" due to the shape of these vehicles.
Personally,i preffered the double deckers.

the service ran from the finger post at one time, I never could understand why

609, GM Buses, North Western then South Lancs travel.

It ran from Wigan to Leyland Park, via the estates at Aspull and some in Hindley.
