So where abouts is this facing, cant seem to make it out, the large building looks lke a church?

The terraced row of shops/houses behind the church (Hope St Cogregational)is Mesnes St.
The church stood where the new Market Hall is now.

Mick is right. If you look at the terrace behind the church, on the right of the church is the end of the terrace... that is 'Smiths of Wigan' bookshop. In later years what my generation called the LUT Bus Station was built in front of the church.
