Yes working hard,but we had some great times to and some fab nights out.Our first job from school and we were on piece work,what a reality shock.

I started working at morris's 1980 as a cutter,I was there until it shut 1983 good days, the cutting room now a aquarium what a shame.

i worked at Peter Blonds from leaving school at 15yrs old to getting married and starting a family in 1972 aged 20yrs old ,what a great time,good friends and all helped each other with any problem what a shame the times have changed so much memories .

I worked at Plessey. The factory was adjacent to Moriss's The day before I got married in Sept 1973. My work mates fastened a ball and chain to my leg. I managed to get out of the factory and "escaped" to Moriss's factory where I got the maintenance guy to cut it off You should have seen the look on the girls faces when I came in through the back door with a ball and chain around my leg..
