Maria was my best friend at our ladys we used to play together after school, the girl on the right is Kathleen Mullany

I remember Maria Marcroft - I was at Our Ladys on Haigh Road until 1969. I too crowned the statue of Our Ladies and my attendants were James Hank, Sharon Robinson and Mary Unsworth. It was a lovely ceremony, and such a pity it is not done the same way now.

i remember that day very well also mrs marcroft and the white lilies which we all carried which if i remember came from france

fond memories,i was in our crowning day groupon this day,living in australia now. But cherish those golden days of innocence and fun times.
