its cliff higham

Comment by: fred foster on 27th October 2008 at 08:03

That cap brings back a lot of memories. When I was at WGS 1942-7 the cap and tie were the only bits of uniform we needed owing to rationing. The cap cost 5 shillings from Pendlebury's(later Debenhams)and I think the tie was 1/6d. We only bought one cap all through the school as when you lost it you went to the lost property office under the stairs and picked another one for 1d.

Comment by: F. Cartwright on 27th October 2008 at 09:10

You wouldnt think that this angel faced little fontleroy would later become the terror of the school along with Dixie Dean. Baby Face Higham ..Public Enemy No. 2.

Comment by: Trencher on 27th October 2008 at 13:10

There is more than a passing resemblance between Cliff and Fred Mason. Did they have the same milkman I wonder.

Comment by: S, Connor on 27th October 2008 at 14:39

Cliifs hat at a jaunty angle is his way of telling you he's a cocky cheeky chapy. Anyway I knew him prior to his grammar days. I think he's trying to set a record for pics on the site. For the benefit of all his groupies theres tons of pics of Cliff on the St Georges site.

Comment by: S. Connor on 27th October 2008 at 14:41

I see Cliffs made the front page of Album .. atlast ... your 15 mins of fame Cliff!

Comment by: Fred Mason on 27th October 2008 at 19:37

By Gar, Trencher, lad...we do look alike, even our ties are crooked... must be the milkman connection.

Comment by: John Jarvis on 29th October 2008 at 14:59

Is it just William? No, no...Erm...Hang on! It's Jimmy Clitheroe...No... no..Erm...Got it! It's Jimmy's brother...Dick...

Comment by: Trencher on 29th October 2008 at 17:59

Comment by: Archie on 30th October 2008 at 08:47

Comment by: Lois on 31st October 2008 at 18:12

Comment by: Trencher on 3rd November 2008 at 20:03

Comment by: cliff H on 5th November 2008 at 23:51

Ok ok, you got me perhaps the cap gave me away, I was an innocent young boy all the world in front of me then from 1x I went to 2c then all my dreams withered away It was my destination to be something of this world, a leader to bring prosperity an peace throughout the lands far and wide, what did I get? a bunch of ne're do wells who led me astray. in veno veritas , good luck to you all, times awaistin so dont keep hesitatin, go have some fun go an have your share.
