Its odd but I don't think we had a class photo taken.
Brings back such a lot of happy memories. I remember everyone in the photograph. Jean x
Jean, glad you like the photo. I haven't seen any of the class for many years apart from Joan Caterall who lives with my brother-in law. Does your Pat know the two unknowns on the Class 6 photo?
Hi lyndon, did judith adamson live on leyland green rd, if so i think i went school with her brother jack.
middle row next to end is my cousin gwilym hughes not robin hughes.good photos lyndon
Dave, Judith Adamson lived on Downall Green Road in the row of houses between Booths Brow Road and Brocstedes Avenue.
Marjorie, I'm sorry but he is definitely Robin Hughes. He lived in Lilac Avenue opposite Anne and Enid Wright and his dad was a teacher at the Central School.
hi lyndon, i still live in the same house on downall green road, i sometimes see joan catterall when she is visiting her sisters and i used to see hilda brown in ashton before she moved to be near her daughter. i married peter mcnulty he came from downall green don't know whether you remember him.
Hi everyone, good to see these photos. I remember everyone even though i haven't seen most of you for years, only Judith, Hilda and Lyndon. x
The Hughes lived in the first house in Hawthorn.[No.1]
John, you're right about Robin Hughes but No.1 Hawthorn was, I think, his grandma's house. He lived in Lilac originally. If I remember correctly he, his mother and father moved into No.1 with his grandma when his grandad died.
Judith, I've had a look at the "Our Ladies" photo and I do remember Peter, hope he is well. I also recognized some other lads who I think were his friends out of school, Tony Wild, Pat Daly and Kev Raffetry.
We are having a suprise birthday party for Dennis's 60th birthday. It will be at Our Lady's Club in Downall green Road. The date is 5th December between 7.15 and 7.30. If anyone remembers Dennis is very wellcome to come. It should be a good do.
