Thanks to Margaret Howlett, whose mother Miriam Gwendoline Quinn is 3rd from left 2nd row from back She was born in 1912 so I'm just guessing at the date of the photograph.

I can imagine the teacher saying to her class ' Now children,you may bring your dolls tomorrow, as we are having our photographs taken, make sure you are nice and tidy'. I think there's 3 or 4 that did, perhaps some of them didn't own a doll. It's the first time I have seen a class photograph with girls holding a doll. It's fascinating looking back to that time - I wonder how may of the children lost their daddy's in the war.
