Now then Keith, since the year is 1955, and given that there's only one male in the lineup, I'm guessing that that's your good self in the shot, portraying the season of winter if I'm not mistaken. Just a pure guess of course, I could be a mile out. I'll leave it to you to fill in the details.
Regards. Ozy.
I don't think the boy in the photo is Keith as Keith would have been about 15 years old in 1955 and the boy only looks about 7-8 years old. Hope I'm correct Keith.
Ozzy wasnt't far off with his guess Maureen. I was just finishing my second year at Wigan Grammar School when the photo was taken.
This is cute. They could all just have come out from under a mushroom.
Earlier that year, I had just celebrated my 21st., birthday, on a snow covered camp, in West Germany, on my own, with a couple of pints of beer. I had only been on the camp two, or three days. Do I hear you say, "SHAME", I thought not.
They look so cute they remind me of the "Flower Fairies". I loved those books at school!
I am the boy playing Winter but I can't put names to any of the others. Sorry
Standing are Billy Fairclough and Barbara Evans.
Left to right at the front are Jean Murray, Vera Dixon, Avril Green, Joan Barker and Ann Grundy.
