Must have been around 1977 or 1978.We moved into the new school in 1979. A few faces that I recognise on here; that's me, little blonde lad in the red jumper on the far left, Stuart Davidson, one of the Owen twins, Lisa Clegg, Nicky Mayes and that's Miss Banks side on at thr right hand side. I think the lad in the jumper with the stars actually dug the first turf, and was called Richard (Dicky)Williams, or something like that. Could be wrong on that though. Adele, are you formerly Adele Hewitt?

No I was Adele Ainsworth. I would agree with you about the date. We have another photo with me on and I look about 3.

Oh my word, this is amazing, never seen this photo before. We did move in '79; I remember Miss Banks coming into the classroom (I think we would have been in Mrs Bampton's class at the time), slapping down the register and announcing 'Margaret Thatcher, Britain's first woman Prime Minister'. This isn't the place for political comment, so I'll say nowt...

I would have been 7, my older brother 10 & 11, Andrew and Mark,ready for leaving or left? Miss Banks was sooo strict! Then they hung that spade up in reception area, where I was often to be found admiring it awaiting detention from Ms Banks..
