This is probably St Thomas's Clayton St.
Most of the white collars were made of card to make the pupils appear smarter.

Thank you so much,Barbara for this unique set of photographs of St.Thomas's Clayton St.I recognise the building from the windows. We lived just around the corner and I attended the nursery there in the 1940's.We also had the youth club,Sunday school,Scouts and guides using the building as well as The Bevin Boys.No doubt some of my aunts and uncles are on the photos and maybe my aunt,Jane Morris, who was murdered in 1919,obviously very touching images for me.Thank you once more for sharing these photos.

My Dad or his brothers could be on these photos. I will never know. I went to Clayton St nursery 1n about 1938 and to Caroline St from 1940 to 1946. Thanks for the memories.
