Good to see these smiling faces despite the obvious cold, (1947 was one of our severest ever winters) and there was much rationing still in place, austerity measures in full swing, and a coal shortage and rail-strike thrown in for good measure. These children, now in their 70’s, showed us the way to cope with adversity I think.

Good to see the names of the children and teacher, I wonder though if it's possible to find the child whose name is missing from the back and front row.

Brilliant. This was before my time at Moss Lane but I do remember Miss Bray.

There are several familiar names in this, especially Roy Allen. I won't say why his name has stuck in my memory. I left St. Nats in 1945, & I think I was in this same class.

My cousin Pamela told me that my Dad's picture was on here. His name is Kenneth Walls and he is on the back row. I have phoned him and he knew all the names on the picture. He was asking if anyone had ever organised a re-union? Lovely pictures!
