It gives some background to the life of Mrs Byrom, a senior teacher at Moss Lane school who is on some of the photos in the Schools album. It is of the announcement of her funeral - 26 September 1995 and mentions that the Church was "packed to capacity". She was obviously very well thought of in many circles.

Mrs Byrom was an inspirational teacher who went "the extra mile." She took me to Wigan Little Theatre to see the Merchant of Venice when Dacre Brown played Shylock. That would have been at the end of the 1950's but the memory has stayed with me and gave me a love of the theatre that has stayed with me all these years.

Where is Mrs Byrom buried. I would like to put some flowers on her grave.I have never forgotten that Mrs Byrom brought me a basket of fruit whilst having an operation in Wigan infirmary. God Bless Her Soul.
