I know or know of quite a few of these people only they were a bit older.

Bernard Roughley is a distant cousin to my dad so I'm led to believe. His dad, Jack, took over the village bakery when my grandad retired.
We lived next door but one to Kathleen Gaskell and her sister Marjorie who is on one of the other photos. Harry Wainwright, again one one of the other photos, lived next to them. He had a sister Rene.
Stuart Arrowsmith lived next door but two the other way.
Hilda Guest worked in my dad's shop until the late 60's when she got married. I was at her wedding.
Margaret Lyon is another distant reative. She lived in the house at the back of the shop and many people will remember her from Annie Hogan's chippy at Hall Green in the 70's and 80's.
Wilma Kenyon is once again a distant relative of my dad. She ran the chippy just lower down form the Grimshaw Lane pub for years.
Also remember Audrey Howarth and Barbara Sharrock.
Anthony Tonge used to live on Spencers Lane but they moved to Upholland and I think he now runs the joinery firm there.

Certainly brings back memories .Learning how to swim in the reservoirs over on the bonk .Making ice slides in the winter Going to the first house pictures at Billy Shaws or the Majestic .Waiting at the top of Sandy Lane till the bus came round the bottom of Sandy Lane then running as fast as we could towards Grimshaw Lane before the bus overtook us .We normally got to the potatoe factory before it passed us.Pea picking at Dickie Valentines Playing Cowboys and Indians in Gaskells wood.Running as fast as you could and slapping your backside pretending you where riding a horse .Does anybody remember the rag and bone man.If you shouted cuckoo at him he would chase you for miles. Looking back at these times you realise what a good childhood you had,If anybody wants to get in touch I would be glad to hear from you.

I remember Barbara Sharrock; she was a teacher as last I recall. Also, although not in the photo I remember Thelma Howarth (may have been Audrey's sister from the photo). Thelma came to visit me in Texas in the late 1980s. I think Thelma's parent's house was on the end of the row next to the school.

David Roughly is correct in that Margaret Lyon did live behind Dickie Roughly`s shop and next to the bakery run by Jack Roughly, Bernards father in the 50s although she may have moved to the other end of Daniels later.
Thelma Howarth is not Audrey`s sister but has a sister called Cynthia and did live next to the school.
