To mark her Centenary St Mary's Church has launched an appeal to install four stained glass windows in the former Infants' School on Warrington Road, which was converted into the church in 1978.
I should have included today's date (May 2nd, 2010) for those who see this picture in the future.
I know Mrs. Round through Wigan Little Theatre. A lovely lady.
Congratulations to a well respected lady,Mrs Round, on reaching her 100'th birthday. Hope the appeal goes well Rev.Long.
Many families must have been taught by Mrs Round in her time at St. Mary's.

She is a wonderful lady.
I was taught by Mrs. Round and so was may late father. She was a lovely teacher. Am I write in thinking that her name was once Miss. Tighe? I seem to remember my father saying something about it.
Maiden name of Mrs Round before she married John was Boffey. She is a wonderful lady and amongst here achievements she a recipient of the Maundy Money when the Queen visited Liverpool Cathedral a number of years ago, she was in the last few years invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace and knowing Ethel would have out shone the Queen. An ambassador for Wigan. the Little Theatre and St Mary`s Church Lower Ince. What A Lady.

One of my childhood friends was Mrs. Rounds niece, her mother being Mrs. Rounds sister Hilda. She her parents and grandmother, Mrs Rounds mother lived in Winifred street lower Ince.
