Mr. Simm took this photo. From left to right: Philip Harrison, Graham Brooks, Geoff (?). The size of the school yard was amazing, it was reckoned to be the 2nd largest in Lancashire, hosting the annual sports day. Netball,class football matches as part of PE lessons and cricket matches were held there, it had a 4-lane 440yd running track.

Think you will find it was 220yd, had to go round 8 times for the mile.
