In a national competition sponsored by an egg company and a Sunday newspaper, children from New Springs Infant School won a cheque for £400. The school's entry was a freize based on the theme of eggs through the ages and was one of over 150 entries.
Six year old Tracey Lowe had the honour of receiving the cup on behalf of the school from the company's Marketing Director, Mr. Frank Powell. November 1976.
