Another walking day photo taken from the favourite spot. Olive Frodsham can be seen 2nd from front on the left. Can you recognize anyone else. In the distance you can see the gas lamp but the bungalow is missing.

Hi Janice, Look at all those people,those were the days when Churches had big congregations. I remember the gas lamps and the lamplighter.. Heavens above, some of us are getting old..

Great photo. As you say, those were the days, far away from the trainers & jogging bottoms seen today. I too remember the lamplighter coming on his bicycle with the long pole to light the lamp outside the old school at Holland Moor. He never got off his bike. We are lucky to have these childhood memories of a time when you were still out playing after the lamps had been lit.
