Great photos Ian.Can you remember which streets they were taken in.I would probably been in the procession myself in 51.People would put money in your hand as you passed.

Does anyone know if the older lady, to the right of Ian's mother, is Miss Fairhurst's sister?

The older lady is Mrs Davenport, mother of Roger Davenport who was Sunday School Superintendent at Clayton Street Senior Sunday School

i woulda walked in ranks wi my brother robert r my sister olive i would only been 4yr old we lived in swann st mb one of main streets like york st yes i remember when a little older leading banner out n many two shilling n half crowns etc i collected usually r dads coming out pubs watch us n very proud they were
