Don't know what it's like now, but in my day, they were wonderful people, a community, who would always cover your back. You felt safe as houses no matter what time coming home. You come leave your door open and never worry. There were loads of places for kids to play, parents felt happy to let them go and play were they wanted and never worry something would happen to them. Great place, special people, wonderful memories. Gave me a nice feeling this picture, thanks Anne.
