It is on Springfield Road, adjacent to Lavender Road.

There are no houses like that on Woodhouse Lane. Yep it looks like Springfield road with the bungalows. Photo taken from outside of what is now Sacred Heart school

It's definitely Springfield Rd..I go down that road nearly every day.

Definitely walking down Springfield Road then turn left at the old folks home along there to Gidlow Lane and then up Gidlow Lane to Beechill Lane keeping within the confines of the parish boundary with St. Andrews Church

this might well be wigan parish church ,I am almost sure the tall man in glasses is John BENN the former reporter for the Observer
