Mum Doreen looks on after the walk has just about come to an end. A little out of focus but can still see Freeman Hardy and Willis. Was this next door to the BHS? I for the life of me remember. Around 1980 I think this was taken.

The shoe shop was next door to BHS.

I remember Freeman, Hardy and Willis shoe shop well, as well as Timpson's next dooe, (not shown). I can also spot Ratner's jewellers where I got both my engagement ring and wedding ring; I think it was taken over by H.Samuel shortly after I got married.

1980 will probably be about right, John Alan.
The Woodhouse store burnt down in November 1981.
