May Queen parade I think.

Looks more like a walking-day,dk. The May Queen didn't parade round the sreets as far as I recall. The one I was in in around 1960 was just held in the school grounds.
I would have said that Irene but the photo before this is Sylvia Sharrat and the blonde boy is my brother Terry aka Snowy ,it was the May Queen I have a photo off it .Bye for now x
