this photo was in a house clearance in Ashton and seems such a shame to be thrown away, can anyone shed any light on it, looks like late '50's -early '60's

the building in the background is the Scala Cinema in Heath Rd the gable end on the left will be A Court

It's been 40 years or more since the last time I went through 'Squeeze belly' entry, past the cottages going to Heath Rd.... Is the entry still there and what is in place of the cottages and Scala?

Janet: some of the cottages are still there but the Scala has gone, there are apartments there now.

Thanks Kenee..... Hard to believe the cottages are still there... I was sure the Scala had to have gone.... Lord.. it was falling down when I used to go passed all those years ago.......Everywhere is so different from when I lived there... :-(
