Happy days! St Mark's walking day was always the best! Think that must have been the only day the famous Bentham's chippy was closed!

I used to walk to Benthams Chippy when I started work for Terry Armstrongs in 1971, when they were based in Little Lane, Goose Green. I used to take orders for dinners from HGV fitters and drivers, it was quite a walk even for a 15 year old but well worth it. I used to over-charge each person and get a free dinner out of them. Best chippy around and great memories, thanks.

Oh yes, Bentham's chippy. We used to call there on teh way home from BB on Friday nights.
