Wigan Album

The girl leading up is Margaret Leyland of Northumberland Street. After leaving St.Stephen's School she went to Wigan Girls High School. She left after School Certificate, chemistry and physics prize, to join the family firm, Leylands in Great Acre. We married at St.Stephen's in 1951 and now live in Loughborough in retirement. The five year old boy on the left is my younger brother, Stan Mason. He became the first Vice-Chancellor of Glasgow Caledonian University when it was formed some years ago. He now lives in retirement in Birkdale.
